A handful of years ago this game would have taken up a five by five foot chunk of wall in an arcade. Now? You can take it with you in your pocket. This game is a stimulating dose of velocity and excitement ready whenever you feel a need for speed.

I have long enjoyed playing scrabble and was excited when I saw that it had come out for the iPhone. One of the first things I noticed was the much faster loading time than was previously reported. The game is very fun and has several ways to help you out while playing, including the ability to exchange tiles for new ones and the option for the computer to choose the best word for you. The board is easy to navigate and while placing tiles can be a bit tricky at first it is easy to get the hang of it quickly. This game also offers various ways to customize play, with three difficulty levels and the ability to choose whether to play a classic game or until one player earns a certain number of points or a certain number of rounds have passed.

PC gamers should probably have heard about Worms by now; It is a turn based strategy game using a team of earthworms to destroy the other team using any weapons at all. It provided a mass amount of entertainment to a large audience on the PC and the same can be said for its iPhone counterpart; the port is almost exactly the same.

Pressing either side of the screen moves the worm towards that direction while tapping the centre of the screen makes a worm jump. Double tapping makes the worms perform a backflip to reach higher ground. In regards to zoom, this can be done just as any other application – pinching and stretching. Because the game plays quite similarly to the PC version, it is definitely a bonus and the port of the game lost none of the entertainment value. This application is worth the entirety of its price.

The Sims 3 iPhone Review The Sims 3 on the iPhone is not a direct port from its PC counterpart, but is still a very exciting and fun game nonetheless. It begins with Sim creation with enough options to make each character unique, but also comes with the addition of choosing a persona, which chooses the lifetime goal for the player. For example, one of the traits is Jack of All Trades, which bears the lifetime goal in mastering cooking, fishing and repairing.

Overall, the graphics and sound are amazing by iPhone standards. The gameplay itself is outstanding, with the application having been made with iPhone gamers in mind. Visual changes to the iPhone version include a more condensed set of panels but equally useful in determining needs, relationships and more. All in all, this was very much a successful adaptation to the iPhone.

One of the many timeless classic now on the iPhone, Sonic the Hedgehog brings its players a very deep sense of nostalgia as well as hours of fun. It is a platform game with the purpose of collecting rings, destroying enemies and making Sonic go through various fun obstacles to defeat Dr. Eggman. With seven stages, three acts apiece, players will never stop having fun. Even if they have never played Sonic before, they can quickly pick this up with ease.

Sonic the Hedgehog is controlled with the D-pad on screen and with a jump button. Additionally, it comes with the ability to simply quit and it automatically saves the player’s place for them to return to. This game is a must for the iPhone, unquestionable for the iPhone user looking for a great game.
